A large chunk of religious thought – from Buddhist idea of
nonattachment to Jesus’s and Paul’s statements in the New
Testament – is centered around extrication of people with
spiritual sensibilities from world, and in the process
plunging the world (as well as the people with spiritual
sensibilities in the world) into darkness. The thought
especially concerns people’s romantic attractions, and its
burden – that the world is evil and thus is to be
rejected or subdued – becomes a burden indeed upon everyone
who is capable of romantic passion and who, by having the
light extinguished from social universe, are denied an
opportunity to share their inner treasures or partake of
those of the next person.
That is an extremely unethical stance to take.
The world will exist, whatever the people with spiritual
sensibilities do about it. Furthermore, people will have
relationships, whatever the thought on the subject. The
ethical stance to take is not to profane a huge aspect of
human experience and make Darkness the way of the world
in a self-fulfilling manner that uses the mechanisms in
the Conviction to falsely prove the Belief by usurping the
Light from the World, but rather to use the spiritual and
psychological thought to make Life the most beautiful it
can Be. And the ethical stance for spirituality is not in
profaning but nurturing romantic passion and making it
possible for it to achieve the most splendid forms.
This is done – not through the misuse of mind to suffocate
the passionate; not through "nonattachment"; not through
following the example of virgin apostles or kings with a
thousand concubines; and certainly not through becoming cold
and abrasive and hateful of all emotional motives as is
prescribed by many in fascist feminism and predatory
psychology – but rather through this: Unlocking the inner
treasures for sharing with the Beloved (and making it
possible for the Beloved to do the same in return). It requires
tapping into the endless source of Warmth, Passion and Beauty
within, Recognizing it, Nourishing it, Unobstructing it in
case it has been Obstructed, and Giving It a Way to Enrich
Life for Self and the Next Person. Love then becomes a mutually
refurbishing Light and an Infinite Source of Splendor that
requires no use of external resources, but rather radiates
from Within. And, combined with light from the Beloved,
alights Entirety of Human Beingness in Self-Refurbishing
Magnificence that allows the Lovers to make life beautiful
through their own efforts – efforts based upon, and inspired
by, the sight and implementation of inner resplendor.
Thus, for example, the romantic passion that has been slandered
as transference is Revitalized by being seen for a far more
profound definition thereof: Manifestation of Warm, Passionate
and Affectionate Nature – Warm, Passionate and Affectionate
Nature that thrives in presence of Beauty and Imparts to Beauty
of its Riches when given a chance to do the same. What has been
slandered as Childish pursuant the false Definitions of a culture
that criminalizes the Essential, is revitalized by having the
Essential seen for its Virtue, its Beauty and its Capacity to Enrich
Life. The Beauty that has been slandered as a means to entrap a man
or a fabrication of man-centered culture or illogic or a form of
self-obsession is Revitalized by being seen for a still more
profound definition: The Sublime Logic of the Flower that exists
as Culmination of the Species and its Link to the Times to Come.
The Eros and the Flower bloom as one, and become the Completion
of Human Beingness and its Sublime Consummation. And the result –
is Life Worthy of Having Been Had, made that way through Man’s
Own Efforts. Life that draws on the Entirety of Human Beingness and
gives it a Path to Self-Refurbishing Erotic Magnificence.
I do not want to live in a world full of snide bullies and
devitalized husks. I want to live in a world full of Passionate,
Creative, Inspired, Beautiful people. That requires inverting the
misuse of the mind that is used to assault the Passionate, and
using the mind instead in service of its Unfoldment and Consummation.
The result, is people who have connectivity to beauty inside – and
are giving it to others.
Love is not something to "grow out of"; it is something to
Grow Into and Manifest. Love is not something to give up; it
is something to Cultivate and to Share. The inner treasures
that make possible Love embody the Luminosity that, with no
other resource expenditure, can make Life magnificent for the
next person and for the Self. These are treasures that deserve
to be Cherished, Appreciated and Given a Way to Fruition – and,
when rightfully given such pathway, become a source of
Self-Generating Magnificence that Illumines the Path for those
who would view it without judgment.
The Religious enterprise consists of usurping the Light. The
rationalistic enterprise consists of denying it. The psychological
enterprise consists of degrading it pursuant incomplete examination
that mistakes intermediate effects for true causes, combined with
illogical rush to judgment – judgment based in the Cultural Bigotry
as pertaining such matters.
The Romantic enterprise consists of Cultivating the Light and Sharing
It with the Beloved.
It consists of giving the person the right to be Wonderful
and Being Wonderful to Her.
It consists of Unlocking the Inner Treasures and making it
Possible for them to Light Up Experience of Life.
And in any sociopolitical climate that spouts anti-love
propaganda, it consists of Uprooting the Lies Used for the
Purpose of Inner Colonization and standing them on their Heads.
It consists of addressing the endemic misuse of Mind against
the Passionate and instead using the Mind in service of the
Passionate and its Life-Refurbishing Manifestation.
FOr this reason Romanticism is the most Ethical possible
spiritual system – and one with greatest chance to arrive at
Experience Worthy of Being Had.
And through mind-empowered, will-empowered Romanticism that
uses the mechanisms of mind and will to make manifest Passion,
it becomes possible to reconstruct Magnificence and Make It an
Ongoing Reality of Living On Earth.
