Al Qaeda, ally of Bush and Israel…

The criminal organisation of Bin Landen, or who ever is behind this terrorist organisation, is an OBJECTIVE ally of Bush, Blair and
Israel. Objective means that no matter what the MOTIVATION of those people are, especially the fools who are physically commiting or
supposed to commit the acts blowing totally innocent people in planes, trains  or buses, the result is the same. Time is also very
troubling:
For Israel, its a gift from Sky, the events in London are once more  taking the attention from the destruction of Lebanon and
the killing of thousands civilians, the attacks even on humanotarian convoys, as well as the continuation of the repression of the
Palstinian people
For Bush , its a justification for more Patriot acts, same thing for Blair. The filthy pro zionist media like the english
tabloids or the Jewish controlled media will once again make the Amalgam Al Qaeda=Hezbollah=all arabs =all muslims.
Irony is that almost all of the suspected bombers havew an Origin from Pakistan, the State of Dictator Musharaf, a faitfull ally of
the USA. We are expecting now a airstrike on Karachi and invasion of Pakistan LOL

Norway up in arms after author writes Israel lost right to exist

present form.

An article in a leading Norwegian newspaper last weekend lambasted Israel
and Judaism and said Israel has lost its right to exist in its present form.

Entitled "God’s chosen people," the article by author Jostein Gaarder in
Aftenposten is raising a storm in Norway. Gaarder, author of the book
"Sophie’s World," links the Israel Defense Forces’ acts in Lebanon to Jewish
history and foresees the coming dismantling of the state as it exists today,
with the Jews becoming refugees.

In an interview with Haaretz Gaarder said Thursday that he was
misunderstood. "As John Kennedy declared in Germany ‘I am a Berliner’ ¬ I
say now ‘I am a Jew,’" he said.

The article compares Israel’s government, the Afghan Taliban regime and
South African apartheid, and states, "We no longer recognize the State of
Israel" and "the State of Israel in its current form is history."

"We call child murderers ‘child murderers,’ and will never accept that they
have a divine or historic mandate excusing their outrages," Gaarder writes.
"Shame on ethnic cleansing, shame on every terrorist strike against
civilians, be it carried out by Hamas, Hezbollah or the State of Israel!"

Gaarder repeatedly refers to the role Judaism plays in Israel’s territorial
aspirations, writing, "We don’t believe in the notion of God’s chosen
people. We laugh at this nation’s fancies and weep over its misdeeds."

He writes, "It is the State of Israel that fails to recognize, respect or
defer to the internationally lawful Israeli state of 1948. Israel wants
more; more water and more villages. To obtain this, there are those who
want, with God’s assistance, a final solution to the Palestinian problem."

The article has triggered off thousands of comments and dozens of stormy
debates in the Norwegian media. It also has sparked off a debate about
Gaarder’s alleged anti-Semitic tendencies and the right to criticize Israel.
The Jewish journalist and music critic Mona Levin spoke out in public
against Gaarder and said she was shocked by the Norwegian government’s
silence. She blasted the cabinet for not denouncing what she described as
"the most appalling thing I’ve read since ‘Mein Kampf.’"

"We’re dealing with an ignorant man, a hate-filled man who derides Judaism,"
she said in an interview from Oslo. Levin said it was unacceptable that a
man of such international repute (26 million copies of his book have been
sold) could attack an entire ethnic group and that politicians would remain
silent.

"This is a classic anti-Semitic manifesto, which cannot even disguise itself
as criticism of Israel," said Professor Dina Porat, head of the Stephen Roth
Institute for the Study of Contemporary Anti-Semitism and Racism at Tel Aviv
University.
"The writer does not address the conflict in its contemporary context but
reaches back thousands of years to assert that the Jewish people have traits
of cruelty that have remained unchanged and account for the current war,"
she says.

Porat says that according to the European Union, denying Israel’s right to
exist ¬ arguing that its existence is racist ¬ is an anti-Semitic statement.
She also finds in Gaarder’s text the use of classic anti-Semitic symbols,
like infanticide.

"I’ve been head of the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Anti-Semitism
for 15 years and it’s not every day that I get to read such a radical
document, in terms of its content and rhetoric," she said.

Gaarder writes, among other things, "We do not believe that Israel mourns 40
killed Lebanese children more than it has lamented for more than 3,000 years
40 years in the desert. We note that many Israelis celebrate such triumphs
like they once cheered the scourges of the Lord as ‘fitting punishment’ for
the people of Egypt."

He writes that the first Zionist terrorists started operating in the days of
Jesus.

Speaking to Haaretz on Tuesday, a day before he stopped talking to the
media, Gaarder said he was misunderstood and emphasized that he is a friend
of Israel and the Jews.

"I think what Hezbollah is doing is terrible," he said, adding that he
supports Israel’s right to exist as a national homeland for the Jews since
1948.

Gaarder said he does not question Israel’s right to exist, "but not as an
apartheid state." He said he could understand how his article could be
interpreted as "anti-Jewish" and admitted that if he were to rewrite it, he
would change a few things.

He is aware he has hurt the Jews in Norway, he said, adding that he would
make sure the article is not translated into other languages. However,
Gaarder refused to retract publicly his main theme.

Aftenposten’s political editor Harald Stanghelle said he saw no problem
publishing Gaarder’s article.

"Of course I don’t agree with what he says," he said. "But an open debate on
the issue is better than a covert one.

"Gaarder’s voice is important in the Norwegian discourse and it was right to
publish the article," he said.

Meanwhile, the furor over Gaarder’s article coincides with a series of
anti-Semitic incidents in Norway, including the desecration of an Oslo
Synagogue and cemeteries and the assault and battery of a skullcap-wearing
youngster.

Quotes from article were taken from an unofficial translation.

Mas, he
¡Alehop! ¡Ya está! Ni se nota, ni
traspasa… ya nadie sabrá de tus gritos. Hoy no toca… tampoco.

tutela y recurso judicial efectivo. No son nombres ficticios, sus
historias se pueden verificar por en medio consulares y diplomáticos;

escrita o gritada, letrada o quizá incluso armada.

» Nasser, 54 ans, a
Nasrallah a dévoilé
lui. » Source : Maariv, 10 août 06

Why cooperation is better than competition

Why cooperation is better than competition
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0395631254/002-6319114-9736057?redir…

No Contest is a must-read book for anyone wishing to create, build and
invent. It shows how cooperation allows us to excel.

"Superbly researched, lucidly written, and delineated with admirable
clarity."
 -  Los Angeles Times Book Review

"Alfie Kohn marshals the evidence that competition is not the mainspring of
achievement in industry, the arts, education, or games."
 -  Dr. Benjamin Spock, pediatrician

"Well researched and sound, No Contest exposes erroneous assumptions about
the inevitability and value of competition. This book deserves our
attention."
 -  Carl Rogers, psychologist

Sample excerpts from No Contest;
pg. 149;
"… so that each of us knows what it is to work with others to paint a
room, prepare a report, cook a meal. To remember such experiences is to know
that cooperation encourages us to view our collaborators favorably; it is to
understand how cooperation teaches us, more broadly, the value of
relationship. Cooperation means the success of each participant is linked to
that of every other.

As of 1985, the Johnsons themselves had conducted thirty-seven studies of
interpersonal attraction under different learning arrangements. Thirty-five
of them clearly showed that cooperation promoted greater attraction, while
the results were mixed in the other two.61

pg. 45;
"Put plainly, one can set and reach goals  -  or prove to one’s own and
others’ satisfaction that one is competent  -  without ever competing.
‘Success in achieving a goal does not depend upon winning over others just
as failing to achieve a goal does not mean losing to others.’ A moment’s
reflection reveals this as an undeniable truth. I can succeed in knitting a
scarf or writing a book without ever trying to make it better than yours.
Better yet, I can work with you  -  say, to prepare a dinner or build a
house. Many people take the absence of competition to mean that one must be
wandering aimlessly, without any goals. But competing simply means that one
is working toward a goal in such a way as to prevent others from reaching
their goals. This is one approach to getting something done, but (happily)
not the only one. Competition need never enter the picture in order for
skills to be mastered and displayed, goals set and met."

pg. 55;
"The simplest way to understand why competition generally does not promote
excellence is to realize that trying to do well and trying to beat others
are two different things. Here sits a child in class, waving his arm wildly
to attract the teacher’s attention, crying, "Oooh! Oooh! Pick me!" The child
is finally recognized but then seems befuddled. "Um, what was that question
again?" he finally asks. His mind is on beating his classmates, not on the
subject matter. The fact that there is a difference between the two goes a
long way toward explaining why competition may actually make us less
successful."

pg. 62;
"… is more likely to be solved quickly and imaginatively if scientists
(including scientists from different countries) pool their talents rather
than compete against one another.
Here it is not competition that is peculiarly unproductive; any kind of
individual work suffers from this drawback. But structural competition has
the practical effect of making people suspicious of and hostile toward one
another and thus of actively discouraging cooperation. (The evidence on
competition and affiliation will be reviewed in detail in chapter 6.) This
occurred to both Peter Blau and Robert Helmreich as they tried to make sense
of their respective findings.  Blau’s competitive employment agency workers
"in their eagerness to make many placements . . . often ignored their
relationship with others"; their noncompetitive counterparts, meanwhile,
enjoyed  more "social cohesion…," 70

pg. 154;
"But the sort of affirmation that is concerned with beating others, the sort
of camaraderie that develops from working to beat another group,  -  or from
simply claiming the superiority of one’s own  -  has an ugliness about it
that I believe is intrinsically objectionable.  Camaraderie is desirable,
all things being equal. But all things are not equal when the feeling is
derived from derogating an out-group.  As to the defense that it is all in
fun, I am reminded of the person who cruelly taunts someone and then
remonstrates, "But I was only kidding!"
